ACT GREEN Logo Design Competition
''We are announcing a logo designing contest for pupils in all our partner schools: Finland, Portugal, Italy, Greece and Romania. By participating in this competition with his/her class, the teacher gets a ready-made plan for example for art lessons. All the classes in our six schools can take part in this competition''.
Instructions
Begin the lesson by examining different logos: Look at corporate and community logos together with your pupils and get an idea of what a logo can look like (no drawings containing tiny details, not too many colours...). Tell your pupils about the themes of Act Green project (nature, weather, climate change, co-operation ...), the logo should describe these themes, or some of them. The choice of the implementation of the logo is free, the final output should be in the electronic form. Since using pupil centered methods is a key idea of the whole project, the pupils vote for the best three logos in their class/group. Next, the best logo of each school will be voted (by pupils again, of course) and the winner will continue to the final voting, where there will be six competing logos, one from each Act Green school. The winner of the entire competition is voted on by an international student vote. Nokia-Vihola School will organize the final, international voting.

Οι μαθητές/τριες οργάνωσαν στην κεντρική είσοδο του σχολείου τη γωνιά του περιβάλλοντος: χάρτινοι κάδοι συλλογής χαρτιού για την ανακύκλωση, μεγάλοι κάδοι συγκέντρωσης πλαστικών καπακιών, ειδικοί κάδοι της εταιρείας ΑΦΗΣ στους οποίους συγκεντρώνονται μπαταρίες και κάδος συγκέντρωσης μελανοδοχείων.
Οι μαθητές ζωγράφισαν αφίσες με στόχο να υποστηρίξουν συμπεριφορές οικολογικής συνείδησης, επέλεξαν κι εκτύπωσαν αφίσες οργανισμών που δραστηριοποιούνται σε θέματα προστασίας του περιβάλλοντος, έγραψαν λέξεις-κλειδιά και δημιούργησαν συννεφόλεξα για να διεγείρουν το ενδιαφέρον των μελών της σχολικής κοινότητας.

The students organized the corner of the environment at the school's main entrance: paper recycling bins, large plastic lids, special bins for AFIS, where batteries and ink cartrTheidges are collected.
They painted and designed posters to support eco-conscious behaviors, they selected and they printed posters of organizations working on environmental issues, they wrote keywords and they created blogs to stimulate interest in school community members.
